FULLY CUSTOM MASTER BATH - SPA RETREAT
This master bathroom was a complete tear out. The footprint stayed the same - no exterior walls were moved. All of the old fixtures, cabinets and plumbing were removed. The old shower and tub were removed and a new shower enclosure was built. A freestanding tub was added and new vanities were custom designed. All of the new cabinetry is the same finish & door style, but there are some very unique design elements to each vanity. Her vanity has a feminine, glamorous feel with a beautiful faucet and a sparkly light fixture. Her vanity also has a practical side - an LCD TV in the upper side cabinet that can be seen from the shower, three drawers for jewelry and, at the base of the counter top cabinet, a side swing door that hides a full set of plugs for the blow dryer and curling irons.
Not to be out done, His vanity is very masculine and "Man Sized". The faucet is a good size for a guy with big hands and the light fixture puts out enough light to shave by. The backsplash material on each vanity is the same, but the designs are different.
The new full Travertine Tile shower is a dream come true (Please see pictures on KEMMER Bathroom 2). This shower was designed for two very different people. She is petite and he is over 6' tall and 2' wide at the shoulder. The shower has two sides. Each side is designed for a specific person. Her side has a bench, a fixed shower head and a hand-held shower head. His side has an oversized shower head and a custom shower jet rail that has been installed to fit his physique perfectly. Both sides has recessed wall cubbies for soap, shampoo, body wash, etc.
The new freestanding tub is hammered copper on the outside and smooth nickel on the inside. The walls surrounding the tub are paneled with the same wood that the cabinets are made from. Next to the gorgeous tub is a custom 6' wide Armoire with a secret compartment - it houses a pull-out ironing board and an interior plug for the iron.
The Calais Stone floor is heated for maximum comfort & features a fully programmable thermostat.
